Yes. Atlas Exteriors is a Class A contractor licensed by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). We also carry full liability and workers' compensation insurance. Certificates of insurance are available upon request before your project begins.

We are located and serve Northern Virginia. We are open Monday through Friday, with estimates and most exterior installation projects scheduled during normal weekday hours.

Yes. Atlas Exteriors provides free estimates. Your written proposal includes itemized pricing, product information, specifications, and an expected project timeline so you know what to expect before work begins.

Our primary service area includes Chantilly, Vienna, Herndon, Reston, Fairfax, Centreville, Great Falls, Oakton, Clifton, Fairfax Station, Arlington, Alexandria. If you live nearby but do not see your city listed, give us a call. We may be able to accommodate your project depending on its location and scope.

Most of our projects are located within Northern Virginia, particularly throughout Fairfax and Arlington counties and the City of Alexandria. We occasionally take on projects outside our normal service area when the location and project are a good fit. For locations farther away, we may recommend a qualified contractor closer to you.

Yes. We regularly work with homeowners in communities with HOA requirements, including Brambleton, Broadlands, Belmont, One Loudoun, Reston Association, and others. Because HOA reviews can take several weeks, we recommend allowing approximately 3 to 6 weeks for approval when required.

Project length depends on the size and complexity of the work. Many window and door installations can be completed in one day. Siding projects commonly take 2 to 3 days, while most roofing, trim, and gutter projects can often be completed in a day. Larger homes and more involved projects may require additional time, which we will discuss during your estimate.

Custom products such as windows, doors, and siding generally arrive within 4 to 6 weeks after they are ordered. We work to schedule installation as soon as your materials arrive. Roofing and gutter projects that do not require special-order materials can often be scheduled within 2 to 3 weeks after the contract is signed.

Safety and proper installation come first. If weather conditions prevent us from completing the work safely or properly, we will reschedule the project. We monitor the forecast closely and make adjustments ahead of time whenever possible. We also do not begin a project that we cannot properly dry-in when required.

Most Atlas Exteriors projects require a deposit when the contract is signed. This allows us to order materials and reserve your project on the schedule. The remaining balance is generally due when the work is completed. Your specific deposit requirements will be clearly listed in your written proposal.

We accept checks, credit cards and ACH payments. For most projects, payment is divided into two installments: the initial deposit at contract signing and the remaining balance upon completion.

Product warranties are provided by the individual manufacturers. Many vinyl windows and siding products include lifetime warranties, while roofing shingles typically carry warranties ranging from 25 to 50 years depending on the product selected. We review the applicable warranty information with you before ordering materials and provide the documentation when your project is complete.

Yes. Atlas Exteriors provides a written workmanship warranty. If an issue develops with something we installed, contact our team and we will evaluate it and make the necessary adjustment. We aim to address legitimate warranty callbacks as quickly as possible.

Absolutely. We handle both individual window replacements and larger whole-home window projects. There is no minimum number of windows required, and pricing is based on the quantity and products selected.

In many cases, yes. Atlas Exteriors offers color-matched aluminum trim coil and gutter materials in a wide range of common siding colors, along with popular finishes such as white, bronze, gray, almond, clay, and black. When replacing siding, we can coordinate the siding, trim, and other exterior details for a consistent finished look.

Yes. Tear-off and disposal are included with our siding replacement projects. The same applies to roofing tear-offs and removal of existing gutters when those services are part of the project.

Both are excellent options, but they offer different benefits. Vinyl siding is generally the more budget-friendly choice and requires very little maintenance. Fiber cement siding, such as James Hardie, provides a premium painted-wood appearance, excellent durability, and fire resistance. Fiber cement typically costs more because of the material and installation requirements. We can help you compare the options based on your home's style, budget, and priorities.

Standard 5-inch K-style gutters with 2×3-inch downspouts work well for many residential homes. Larger 6-inch gutters paired with 3×4-inch downspouts can handle substantially more water and may be a better option for larger homes, steep roof pitches, concentrated roof valleys, or properties that have experienced gutter overflow. We can recommend the appropriate size based on your roof and drainage needs.

In most cases, we recommend replacing the entire roof rather than completing a partial replacement. A full replacement provides a more consistent system and can help address underlying issues that a small section may not resolve. For isolated repairs or certain types of storm damage, partial work may be possible. We will explain your options and the advantages and limitations of each approach during the estimate.

Common signs include fogging or condensation between double-pane glass, failed window seals, difficult operation, single-pane glass, drafts, and poor energy performance. Replacing aging windows can improve comfort, appearance, and energy efficiency while giving your home's exterior an updated look.

Yes. Combining siding and trim work is a common way to create a cohesive exterior renovation. Completing related projects together also allows colors, materials, and finishing details to be coordinated throughout the home for a cleaner overall appearance.
